A Rant.

Going to restart this thing.

How can I possibly have motivation to try and succeed in this world, a world which is becoming worse by the day? Europe is an increasingly socialistic toilet and shows no signs of improving. The American national government is following Europe's example under the leadership of the Most Holy One, Our Savior On Earth. South America and Africa? They haven't destroyed themselves yet? Weird. I suppose I could pull a Jim Rogers and move to China, but 'if ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom — go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.'

The most I can do is take responsibility for my actions, pay back those who have helped me, and simply just try to live. I can't start some businesses that I've wanted to for some time, because the risks are too high. I'd like to say something like "I'm not afraid enough of losing something that I won't try to have it," but I'd probably be lying. We're not talking about simply being rejected by a woman, or being cut from a sports team. We're talking about the federal government bringing as much power to bear as it wants to in order to shut me down, simply because politicians and
bureaucrats, and of course their special interest groups that fund their campaigns, have decided that I am an Enemy of Progress.

Progress? Reverting to a socialist system is not progressive - it's regressive.

For you optimists, how do you think these next four years will turn out? The masses will eventually see what a folly His Holy Worshipfullness, Obama, Peace Be Upon His Name, Amen, was and they will all turn instead to freedom, and a system of firm property rights and a market-economy? If so, why? If not, then what do you propose?

They will not see what a mistake voting for the Holy One was, because they still believe voting accomplishes anything. I believe it was P.J. O'Rourke who said "if voting actually accomplished anything, it would be made illegal." For close to a century,
century, that's 100 years, folks, we've had an establishment shrill who was hand-picked and groomed for the white house, every single election. Have freedoms in this country been expanding or disappearing? Exactly. Each president, administration, and congress has been worse than the last! Wake up. Vote the bums out? Why, so we can vote some new bums in?

Instead of simply voting, or maybe along with voting, we should be preparing against an increasingly hostile government for some kind of Restoration, as Mike Vanderboegh has described?

I'm not at all optimistic. Why? Because things are only going to get worse, and when it comes to freedom and politics, freedom never follows chaos. Ever.

The American Revolution and the aftermath was a fluke. For the most part, the revolutionaries were very smart, well-educated, thinking, compassionate men, and they understood that a civil war that followed the secession of the colonies would have been despicable, not to mention the reconquering of the colonies that could have taken place if it had been plunged into civil war. But, that class of human is gone. Exceedingly rare at the very least.

The most anyone will be able to do is say "it's best to leave me alone," to the blockleiters, Obamatrons, Brown Shirts, and census takers who come knocking on your door requesting - and, in the chance that you refuse, demanding - your loyalty and service to His Highness, and to the State.

But, empty threats don't mean shit. So, be prepared to back that up in whatever way you deem necessary and prudent.
